The Welcome to Las Vegas Sign has been part of the Las Vegas Strips landscape since 1959. This iconic structure has become a symbol of the city itself. While the location of the sign has moved several times along different places on the Strip, the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign has long been a part of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Welcome to Las Vegas Sign is located on the south side of the Vegas Strip by the Mandalay Bay Resort. The sign reads "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" as you drive towards the main strip area. As you leave the Strip the sign reades "Drive Carefully Come Back Soon".

Las Vegas Things to Do Seeing the Sign in Person Since the Las Vegas Sign is such an iconic symbol of Las Vegas many visitors want to get a picture in front of it and see it. Many visitors park illegally on the median and cross traffic. Soon though the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign will get it own parking lot, complete with handicapped spots and bus parking.
