Just remember that in order to have a legal marriage; your wedding ceremony needs to be performed in the state of Nevada and by an authorized licensed person.   • Requirements
  • U.S. citizens and non U.S. citizens requirements are the same.


  • Applicants must be male and female, 18 years or older, and not nearer of kin than second cousins, half blood cousins, and not having a husband or wife living.


  • Non U.S. citizens are suggested to check with their local officials for special documents to ensure that their marriage will be recognized.

  • Applicants may have to prove their age. Those without acceptable identification to prove age may be refused a marriage license.


  • Social Security Numbers are required on the Affidavit of Application for a Marriage License. Know your social security because those that don't may be refused a marriage license. It's recognized that non U.S. citizens will not have a Social Security Number.

  • A ceremony must be performed in the state of Nevada within a year and by a licensed person in order to have a legal marriage.


  • Applicants who are divorced are required to know the exact month/day/year/city and state of their divorce. The divorce must be final and filed with the courts in the state or country granted.


  • Applicants who are minor - not yet 18-years of age must have consent of a parent or legal guardian.


  • License fee is $55.00 cash.
